In 1979 on Long Boat Key, Florida, I observed a wild flock of parakeets (Budgerigars) chattering and squawking loudly in a kumquat tree as the sun was setting. Since that time I have seen these wonderful birds flying wild throughout many areas in Florida and I have always enjoyed creating artwork that featured these amazing birds. In recent years, I (and many other artists), have developed their talent by using software to create digital art that is unique. Spadecaller is an experienced traditional artist, who creates original hand-painted digital images and photo composite artworks. In the late fifties at eight years old, Spadecaller started formal training in traditional oil painting.Through considerable personal sacrifice, his mother nurtured his artistic talents and provided him with the tools to launch his creative journey.
