I was about seven years old, when I first saw a wisteria tree. I remember the day, because it was the first time that I met my neighbor, Miss Cogan. She was a retired school teacher. There were foolish rumors about her – that she was a witch. She startled me, while I was looking at her beautiful backyard. We would have tea and talk about cats, trees, and the flora in her garden. Since that day, the magnificent wisteria tree remains forever etched in my memory.
