The seed is hook-shaped and affix to animals; consequently, clusters of these beautiful flowers spread quickly across the state each year. Comprised of 15 drought-tolerant species, the Coreopsis Floridana is only found in Florida and no other place on earth. It is the state wildflower. The flowers shown in this image are known as Tickseed Enchanted Eve. Birds and butterflies love these when they find them in the gardens.
