This wonderful creature asked me to capture him for my artwork. He glanced at me and then walked up very slowly in front of me and then stared out across Lake Tarpon - located on the west coast of Florida.
Information about the artist, this image, and its creation: I am an old-school painter with several years of traditional experience. In recent years I (and many other artists), have developed their talent by using software to create digital art that is unique. The picture that is presented here, never existed in real life as a photograph captured by the lens of a camera. This image started with a composite of photos and digitally hand-painted images that were first layered in Photoshop. The final outcome is a unique image entirely. If you enlarge the image sufficiently, you will observe brush strokes and colors that were not produced by any camera or by a paint brush. Spadecaller is an experienced traditional artist, who creates original hand-painted digital images and photo composite artworks. In the late fifties at eight years old, Spadecaller started formal training in traditional oil painting.Through considerable personal sacrifice, his mother nurtured his artistic talents and provided him with the tools to launch his creative journey. Spadecaller attended The School of Visual Arts in New York City (1970-71), and during the 70's up until the late 80's, he exhibited acrylic and oils in Montreal and New York.
