Artist's Description

Since the late 18th century, kraken have been depicted in a number of ways, primarily as large octopus-like creatures. Scandinavia’s kraken is manifested in the form of a giant octopus. It is the most treacherous monster ever to loom in the ocean depths. As a result of its enormous size and stealth, the kraken swallowed up the pirate ship, the Folly Dodger, and all its crew except one survivor, who shared this story. “Kraken Sinks Folly Roger,” is a digital image created in Spadecaller’s Florida studio.
