Description
On each side of the front door of the white colonial house were two 6 feet tall pink rosebay rhododendron shrubs. Every spring in late May they bloomed faithfully. I remember the huge bumblebees that hovered over the flower clusters as they collected pollen. The old house on Yorkshire road in Rockville Centre, New York was where I grew up. “Pink Rosebay Rhododendron,” reflects my fond hometown memories. This is a hand-painted digital image created in Spadecaller’s Florida studio (7/4/2020).
