Description
Common in eastern deciduous forests and a frequent visitor to feeders, it is the most widespread titmouse species in the country. The tufted titmouse is a North American songbird known for its very social demeanor. These friendly birds will even take peanuts from the hand of a patient admirer. In fact, to my surprise, while I was looking for suitable subjects to photograph at John Chestnut State Park in Florida, my wife was standing beside me with this titmouse eating cracked peanuts from her hand. “Tufted Titmouse in Autumn,” is a digital image and photo composite created in Spadecaller’s Florida studio. - Spadecaller
