Description
In Greek, the word ‘anemone’ means daughter of the wind. The anemone is called the ‘windflower,’ because these delicate flowers are easily opened by the wind. The Anemone coronaria is an herbaceous perennial tuberous plant that resembles the poppy. These flowers of various colors bloom from April to June. It is native to the Mediterranean region. Anemone coronaria is the national flower of the State of Israel. “White Anemones” is a hand-painted digital image created in Spadecaller’s Florida studio (7/1/2020).
