The rainforest is the most favored habitat of the Wompoo Fruit-Dove; they are rarely seen in other areas. The birds tend to remain in localized areas in search of fruit-bearing trees. The Chinaberry tree featured in this image is among the many native fruit bearing rainforest trees of mainland south-eastern Australia.
