In Chinese culture, the magpie represents happiness. The singing of a magpie foretells good luck and happiness. In Chinese and Korean cultures the magpie is called the “bird of joy.” In Northern China the Manchu minority consider these birds sacred creatures. Two magpies facing each other is used to symbolize double happiness.

Spadecaller is an experienced traditional artist, who creates original hand-painted digital images and photo composite artworks.
