Artist's Description

I used to spend my summer and autumn days in this amazing countryside – the Poconos. I enjoyed picking wild blueberries and watching the white-tailed deer bound through the dense forest with their upright tails waving like white ribbons. The massive rock formations that clung to the sloping forests made great resting spots to sit and marvel at the surrounding beauty. These are the memories that inspired the creation of this digital autumn landscape, White-tailed deer in the Poconos.

Spadecaller is an experienced traditional artist, who creates original hand-painted digital images and photo composite artworks. In the late fifties at eight years old, Spadecaller started formal training in traditional oil painting.Through considerable personal sacrifice, his mother nurtured his artistic talents and provided him with the tools to launch his creative journey. Spadecaller attended The School of Visual Arts in New York City (1970-71), and during the 70's up until the late 80's, he exhibited acrylic and oils in Montreal and New York.
