The blowing of the ram's horn awakens me.
It is the sound of my broken heart.
My days on earth are ending and tonight I am aware of my unfulfilled vows.
Let my prayers for forgiveness be sincere and pure of heart.
The sound of the shofar is the sound of grief.
From the depths of my soul I cry out for help.
I cry for those I have hurt.
I cry for the courage to change - to start anew.
My soul yearns for the rebirth of a better self.
My call serenades the heavens with hope.

About M Spadecaller
Spadecaller is an experienced traditional artist, who creates original hand-painted digital images and photo composite artworks. In the late fifties at eight years old, Spadecaller started formal training in traditional oil painting.Through considerable personal sacrifice, his mother nurtured his artistic talents and provided him with the tools to launch his creative journey. Spadecaller attended The School of Visual Arts in New York City (1970-71), and during the 70's up until the late 80's, he exhibited acrylic and oils in Montreal and New York.
