Description
The K-28 Steam engine No. 476 was originally constructed by the American Locomotive Co. in 1923 and serviced the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad. It was taken out of service in 1999. After years of repair and restoration, Locomotive No. 476 returned to ride the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNG) for the 2018 winter. The D&SNG is a 3 ft narrow-gauge heritage railroad that operates 45.2 miles of track between Durango and Silverton, in Colorado. The railway is a federally designated National Historic Landmark.
"Locomotive No, 476" is a hand-painted digital image and photo composite created in Spadecaller's Florida Studio.
