The blue-rumped parrot is a little parrot (18cm) that is found on the southern tip of Myanmar, peninsular Thailand, Malalysia, Bornea, Sumatra and nearby islands. In flocks of up to 20 birds they inhabit lowland forests, woodland, orchards, plantations, mangroves, dense scrub, and coconut groves. They eat seeds, fruit, and blossoms.
