Artist's Description

The Bengal tiger, or Royal Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), is a tiger subspecies native to India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. It has been classified as an endangered species. Conservation of the Bengal tigers in Nepal is a top priority. In a victory for the impoverished country's drive to save the endangered big cats, the conservation strategies of wildlife groups are reversing the decline of the majestic Royal Bengal tiger. Efforts to protect habitat and to fight poachers is helping the continued survival of these beautiful cats. As of September 2018, records show Nepal's wild tiger population has nearly doubled during the last nine years. “Royal Bengal Tiger of Nepal,” is a Spadecaller digital painting and composite.
