Artist's Description
With his striking beauty and pride, the rooster (Cockerel) attracts the attention of the world. The image of the rooster is prominent in many kinds of art. Throughout history, different cultures and religions have regarded the rooster as an iconic figure. He is considered a symbol of the sun and the heavenly fire. Like the sun, the rooster "counts down the time," heralding the dawn of each new day with his crowing. This crowing has always been a reference of time that gives a natural awakening signal. “The Cockerel,” is a hand-painted digital image created in Spadecaller’s Florida studio.
