Artist's Description
This image unites two rare life forms, the albino ruby-throated hummingbird and the Kopsia fruticosa plant. The Kopsia fruticosa is an evergreen woody shrub or small tree native to Myanmar (Burma), Southeast Asia, southern China, Australia, and various islands of the western Pacific. It is cultivated as an ornamental, because it produces lovely fragrant pink flowers throughout the year. These plants grow well in south Florida, California, and other tropical and subtropical climates. “White Hummingbird and Kopsia,” is a Spadecaller digital painting.
