Popping up along the Florida roadsides every spring are these wildflowers known as Coreopsis or more commonly called tickseed. Comprised of 15 drought-tolerant species, the Coreopsis Floridana is only found in Florida and no other place on earth. It is the state wildflower. The flowers shown in this image are known as Tickseed Enchanted Eve. Birds and butterflies love these when they find them in the gardens.
