Description
The Golden Eagle is one of the largest birds of prey in North America. The wings are broad like a Red-tailed Hawk, but even longer. Golden eagles establish home ranges or territories that may be as large as 77 square miles. They favor open country, especially around mountains, hills, and cliffs. There diverse habitats range from the arctic to desert, including tundra, shrublands, grasslands, coniferous forests, farmland, and areas along rivers and streams. They are found predominantly in the western half of the U.S. “Golden Eagle Landing,” is a hand-painted digital image and photo composite created in Spadecaller’s Florida Studio on 1/30/2021.
