Description
Attempting to protect Ukraine’s freedom and democratic choice, more than 15,000 people have died since 2014. Occupied Ukrainian lands have become territories of repression and torture with no freedom of speech and rule of law. Over 1.5 million people were forced to leave their homes. The numbers are mounting.
Tonight (2/26/2022), invading Russian forces are bombing the outskirts of Kiev, the capitol city of Ukraine. It appears that Ukraine’s capitol will soon fall under the tyrannic rule of Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, and his crusade for power. The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, remains steadfast in his unfailing commitment to protect the country. His pleas for immediate help are urgent. New escalation by Russia threatens more lives. The impact of Ukraine’s loss of independence will affect regional and global security and will influence the political and economic stability of Europe and beyond. The world must say “no “this time. “Assault on Ukraine,” is a hand-painted digital image and photo composite created in Spadecaller’s Florida Studio on 2/27/2022.
