Description
Alpine Snowbell (Soldanella alpina), also known as blue moonwort, is an evergreen perennial native to the Alps and Pyrenees. From the first snowmelt Alpine snowbells often pierce through the snow and continue blooming through to August. Unfortunately, wild snowbells are under threat of displacement with climate change. “Alpine Snow Bloomers” is a hand-painted digital image and photo composite completed in Spadecaller’s Florida Studio on 3/15/2022.
