Description
A pair of Cape May Warblers are showcased in this Spadecaller digital painting. Its breeding range spans most of southern Canada, the Great Lakes region, and New England. Cape May Warblers hunt insects among branches, sip nectar from flowers, and eat fruit. These birds often forage in conifer treetops, in the outer portion of the tree. They are well-adapted to probing blossoms for insects with their long tongues and sipping nectar from flowers. In late August when the Elderberries ripen, they can be often found eating the sweet fruit.
Warblers and Elderberry is a hand-painted digital image and photo composite created in Spadecaller’s Florida Studio on 7/28/2023.
